Edinburgh CastleDay 1
Arrive Edinburgh Airport where you will be met by a representative of Scotland Tours, who will introduce you to your driver or assist you in the collection of your rental vehicle.  They will also go through the itinerary with you answering any questions that you may have.  Enjoy the rest of today with a little sight seeing at your leisure in our magnificent capital city. Perhaps visit one of the many fine museums, or travel the short distance to Leith to tour The Royal Yacht Britannia (owned by the Royal family for over 40 years). Other attractions include the Tartan Weaving Mill and the Scottish Whisky Heritage Centre. This evening you may wish to take part in one of the ghost tours around the City!
Overnight, Edinburgh.

Day 2
Today depart on a sightseeing tour of the capital city. Attractions include Edinburgh Castle, Edinburgh Dungeon, Mary King’s Close, The Royal Mile, St Giles Cathedral and The Palace of Holyroodhouse (official residence of HM The Queen in Scotland).  Perhaps you may wish to travel to the Village of Rosslyn and visit Rosslyn Chapel (made famous by Dan Brown’s DaVinci Code).
A traditional Scottish show and dinner is included this evening.

Day 3
Check out of accommodation. This morning travel to St Andrews (University town and Scotland’s home of Golf). Take the Fife Coastal Route; continue through the East Neuk of Fife and the delightful fishing villages of Crail and Elie. En route you may wish to visit The Secret Bunker (underground control centre used during the Cold War period).  Golf can be arranged for you at your request on one of the many excellent courses around St Andrews.

Day 4
Continue sightseeing around St Andrews. Other attractions include the British Golf Museum, St Andrews Castle and Cathedral, Botanic Gardens, the Scottish Deer Centre, and St Rules Tower or simply enjoy browsing in the quaint shops around St Andrews or enjoy a stroll along the beach.
Overnight, St Andrews

Day 5
Check out of accommodation.  Depart north to Inverness through Perthshire and The Southern Highlands. En route visit the picturesque town of Dunkeld and it’s cathedral. Continue through Aberfeldy onwards to the lovely Victorian Spa town of Pitlochry.
Other attractions en route include Blair Castle, The House of Bruar and perhaps enjoy a trip on The Cairngorm Mountain Railway from where you will have spectacular views of the area.

Day 6
Day sightseeing around Inverness-shire. This morning you may wish to visit Cawdor Castle (Scotland’s most romantic castle).  This afternoon continue to Speyside ‘the Whisky Trail’ and tour one of the many fine distilleries in the area before visiting Speyside Cooperage and discover about the ancient craft of coopering.

Day 7
Early check out of accommodation. This morning you may wish to take a boat trip on Loch Ness, which will include a visit to Urquhart Castle. Travel south to the highland town of Fort William.  Continue through Glencoe and marvel at the grandeur of its surrounding mountains.  Onwards to Loch Lomond.

Day 8
This morning travel to Stirling (one the first Royal Burghs in Scotland and ‘Braveheart’ country.
We suggest that you tour Stirling Castle and visit Bannockburn Battlefield, the site of King Robert the Bruce’s victory in 1314.   Continue to the cosmopolitan city of Glasgow where you can enjoy the rest of the day shopping and sight seeing in this vibrant City. Attractions include Glasgow Cathedral, Provand’s Lordship (Glasgow’s oldest and only medieval house) and the Tenement House (a lower middle class flat of the 19th Century). 
Overnight, Loch Lomond

Day 9
Check out of accommodation.  Transfer to Glasgow Airport.  Depart on flight taking with you wonderful memories of your Scotland Tour.
