7 Night Fort William, Stirling & Edinburgh Package

Edinburgh CastleDay 1
Arrive Glasgow Airport where you will be met by a representative of Scotland Tours, who will introduce you to your driver.  They will also go through the itinerary with you answering any questions that you may have.  Travel to Fort William via the spectacular scenery around Loch Lomond & the Trossachs National Park. Continue through Glencoe and marvel at the grandeur of its surrounding mountains.  On arrival at Fort William you will have the opportunity to take a trip on the Nevis Range Gondola from where you will have spectacular views of The Nevis Mountain Range and Ben Nevis (Scotland’s highest mountain).
Overnight, Spean Bridge, near Fort William

Day 2
This morning travel the short distance to Fort William and depart on Jacobite Steam Train (of Harry Potter fame), from Fort William to Mallaig, described as one of the great railway journeys of the world. Your driver will meet you on your arrival at Mallaig.  We suggest that you enjoy lunch and perhaps visit the Mallaig Marine Centre or Heritage Centre before departing on the ferry to Armadale, Isle of Skye.
Continue onwards to the Kyle of Lochalsh and perhaps visit the famous Eilean Donan Castle.
Return to accommodation via Glen Shiel.

Day 3
Full Scottish Breakfast
Your driver will meet you at your hotel.  Travel the short distance to Urquhart Castle. You may also wish to visit the Loch Ness 2000 exhibition, which tells the history and mystery of Loch Ness and the legendary Loch Ness monster!
Continue your journey to Inverness on a pleasure cruise from Drumnadrochit.  Arrive Inverness where your driver will meet you before traveling south through the Cairngorms to your hotel.

Day 4
Check out of accommodation.
This morning depart to Stirling (one the first Royal Burghs in Scotland and ‘Braveheart’ country) via the lovely Victorian Spa town of Pitlochry.  We suggest you visit Edradour Distillery (Scotland’s smallest distillery).  Enjoy a free tour and sample Edradour’s Single Malt Whisky.
Other attractions include Blair Castle (home of the Duke and Duchess of Atholl from 1269) and the House of Bruar.  Continue onwards to Stirling.

Day 5
This morning we suggest that you enjoy some sight seeing around Stirling; tour Stirling Castle and Argyll’s lodging then perhaps visit Bannockburn Battlefield, the site of King Robert the Bruce’s victory in 1314 or The Wallace Monument, a tribute to Sir William Wallace. There are many other attractions in the area including, Stirling Old town Jail and Blair Drummond Safari & Adventure Park.

Day 6
Today meet a professional Scottish Blue Badge Guide and depart on a full day sightseeing tour of the capital city. Attractions include Edinburgh Castle, The Royal Mile, St Giles Cathedral and The Palace of Holyroodhouse (official residence of HM The Queen in Scotland). 
Overnight, Edinburgh

Day 7
This afternoon you may wish to travel to the Village of Roslin and visit Rosslyn Chapel (made famous by Dan Brown’s DaVinci Code).  Alternatively enjoy a one-hour sight seeing cruise on the Firth of Forth, which offers panoramic views of Edinburgh and plenty of opportunity to see a wide range of marine wildlife including seabirds and seals. Perhaps travel the short distance to Leith and tour The Royal Yacht Britannia (owned by the Royal family for over 40 years).
Other attractions include the Mary King’s Close Tartan Weaving Mill, Scottish Whisky Heritage Centre, Edinburgh Dungeon and Dynamic Earth.

Day 8
Check out of accommodation. Transfer to airport.  Depart on flight home taking with you wonderful memories of your Scotland tour.
